KATY CROWE
They are the little people, the pixies, the fairies, the odd-balls, the non-conformists, the pompous, the pious, the saints, the sinners, the freaks, the beauties and the beasts. They’re all around us in everyone we meet and even in ourselves.
Just as a rock exposed to the eye is dry and plain, that same rock, when picked up from the ground and turned over, reveals an underside that is moist, dirty, and streaked with vivid colors. Each of the rock’s sides can lay claim to the same rock but both sides are needed to make the rock complete; one side that is revealed to the world, the other hidden side more colorful and interesting.
The same is true for humans. Just behind the mask we show to the world is the other ‘us’ we all possess. More often than not, the side we choose to hide is far more colorful than the side we choose to show.
welcome to the world as seen through my eyes
Everything has beauty, but not everyone
sees it.
